continued working on creating our main character for our French story. Students started planning their narrative scheme to write their draft. We practiced conjugating the verb "parler" and practiced how to write verb endings in the infinitive "er" or past "é".
worked with our STEM groups to plan and construct various building/elements for our community. Students drew their plans and then completed a reflection about what they built as well as a reflection on group work.
welcomed a representative from the Covenant House into our classroom as well as the students from Division 7. We learned a lot about why and how the Covenant House helps support homeless youth in Vancouver. The students were so engaged!
read the legend "The boy and the loon" and watched a video of another legend entitled "Maq" in English. We discussed what elements are often found in First Nations legend and wrote a journal entry about what a legend is to us.
played cooperative games in P.E as well as participated in our first capoeira lesson!
took advantage of the sunshine and planted kale in our garden box outdoors as part of health education.
